Phyllis Sherlah Battles, 80, of Paola, Kansas died Friday, August 25, 2016 at North Point Care Home in Paola, Kansas.

She was born August 22, 1936 to Floyd Thomas and Aneita “Vesta” Palmer in Winfield, Kansas.

She married Lofton “Sunny” Battles January 31, 1958 in Dodge City.

She enjoyed her great grandchildren, friends and music, painting, and crafts.

Other survivors include two sons, Clifford Church and wife Teresa of Osawatomie, KS and Kelly Battles of Ulysses, KS; one brother, Jerry Palmer of Benbrook, TX; two grandchildren, Kristina Graber and Sunny Clanton; six great grandchildren; and other relatives and friends.

She was preceded in death by her parents and one brother, Preston “Toby” Palmer.

Memorial contributions may be made to Presbyterian Manor of the Plains, Dodge City, KS.
