Alice May Scott (85), formerly of Paola, Bonner Springs, and Spring Hill, KS, passed away September 18, 2016 at Mercy Bellbrook in Rochester Hills, MI, after a long struggle with Parkinson's disease. Alice was born in Worcester, MA to Leo and Bessie Dansereau. After completing her education in Worcester, Alice joined the United States Air Force and served as an Airman 1st Class in Allied-occupied Germany and during the Korean War.

In 1956, Alice married Edmund Clifford Scott (USAF) in Denver, CO. Alice and Ed were stationed in various locations around the United States - eventually settling in Paola, KS in 1972. Alice was a member of the 1st Presbyterian Church in Paola, KS, where she participated in the choir. For several years, Alice worked as a volunteer for the Paola Head Start program. In 1981, Alice worked as a Licensed Mental Health Technician at Osawatomie State Hospital until her retirement in 1993. Alice enjoyed traveling, movies, playing Bingo, and spending time with her grandchildren.

Alice is preceded in death by her eldest son, Johnnie; former-husband, Edmund (Cliff); her parents; and brothers Dan, Bill, and Bob. She is survived by son, Edmund (Carol) Scott of Rochester Hills, MI; daughter, Alicen Scott of Paola, KS; granddaughter, Sarah Padilla of Reserve, KS; grandson, Nicholas Scott; and great-grandson Jaxson Padilla.
