Dorothy A. Goldsmith Lucas, 66, of Osawatomie, KS passed away Wednesday July 28, 2010 at her home.
She was born July 28, 1944 in Osawatomie, KS, the daughter of James Orville Goldsmith Sr. and Dorothy Van Horn Goldsmith. She was married on November 11, 1994 to Bill Lucas, the marriage later ended in divorce. Dorothy spent the majority of her life in the Kansas City and Osawatomie areas. In her younger years she worked in the Kansas City area in the customer service field. She later worked in Osawatomie in the banking field. She was known for her love of flowers, square dancing, crafts, and her cats. She enjoyed being with family, especially her sister.
She was preceded in death by both parents and a brother, Richard Wayne Goldsmith.
Survivors include a brother, James Orville Goldsmith Jr. (Nancy) of Yerington, NV, a sister Shirley McQuay of Osawatomie KS, many nieces/nephews, and many great nieces/nephews.
