Willie Mayo, III, age 69, of Paola, Kansas passed away April 17, 2014 at Life Care Center in Osawatomie. (Cremation)

Willie was born on August 2, 1944 in San Antonio, Texas to Willie Jo and Earlene Maine Mayo. He grew up in the Texas area before moving to Kansas.

Willie was the former owner of the Dew Drop Inn Restaurant on Silver Street in Paola for many years. He also was a house painter in the local and surrounding towns, retiring at the age of 62. He enjoyed the outdoors, fishing and camping. Willie was an avid Chiefs football fan and enjoyed watching football events.

Surviving are his son Willie Mayo IV and wife Karie of Paola; step-daughters Shellie Fickel and Tammie Daulton; daughters Viki and Dawn Mayo; brothers and sisters, B.J. Mayo, Pat Davis, Charles Mayo, Wally Mayo, and Linda Bellamy; 8 grandchildren and many great grandchildren. He was preceded in death by his parents and Mary Lynn and Jimmy Lynn. He will be greatly missed by all that knew him.
