Thelma M. Waller Boehm, 87, passed away on Saturday, August 16, 2014 at Life Care Center in Osawatomie, Kansas.

Thelma was born on May 26, 1927. She was the daughter of Henry and Mae Waller. Thelma graduated from Burlington High School in 1945. She was a member of Beta Sigma Phi. During her career years she was the dietician at Osawatomie State Hospital. She also worked as secretary to the headmaster at Pembroke Country Day School.

Some of her favorite hobbies included sewing, reading, cooking and baking, boating, fishing and traveling the country by car and motorcycle.

She was preceded in death by her parents Henry and Mae Waller; husband C. D. Shipley; brother Milton Waller and sister Rozella Weaver. She leaves behind her husband Charles E. Boehm, son Ronald (Linda) Shipley, daughter Pamela (Bruce) Warkentine and step-daughter CharLaine (Frank) Higgins. She also leaves three granddaughters and six great grandchildren.

The family suggests memorials be made in Thelma’s name to the Alzheimer’s Association.
