William Thomas Towler, age 73, of Paola, Kansas died March 22, 2015 of leukemia in his home.

William was born on August 22, 1941 in Nowata, Oklahoma to Albert Ray Towler and Nadine Frances Snider. He was married to Norma Jean Hart of Osawatomie on September 28, 1962.

In William's younger years, he worked at the Paola Butter Company, Beagle Elevator, he was a plumber's helper and worked construction. He spent 13 years at Wild Game Unlimited and 29 1/2 years at Taylor Forge Engineered Systems in Paola where he retired in 2007.

William was an outdoors person, he loved his family, his birds and his pets. In his later years, he spent a lot of time with electronics, collecting pictures of his family and researching his family tree.

He was preceded in death by his parents.

William is survived by his wife Norma of the home; four children William Thomas Towler, II, of Greenville, South Carolina, Rick Lee Towler of Osawatomie, Teresa Jean (Towler) Riggs and Christine Marie Towler both of Paola; seven grandchildren; two great grandchildren; other relatives and friends. He is also survived by Michael Dean Richards of Osawatomie. Michael and his wife have five children.
