Elizabeth Zahner, age 89, of Lenexa, Kansas, formerly of Paola, Kansas, passed away Friday, January 15, 2016 at Lakeview Village, Lenexa, Kansas.

Elizabeth was born April 21, 1926, in Johnson County, Kansas. She was the younger of two children born to Harry and Tina (Wilkerson) Enyart. She grew up in Lenexa and graduated from Shawnee Mission High School with the Class of 1944.

She was united in marriage to Kenneth Zahner on November 30, 1946 at Holy Trinity Catholic Church in Lenexa. They made their home in Lenexa and became the parents of six children. They moved to Paola in 1974.

Elizabeth worked at the Viva Shop in Paola, a women's clothing store. She loved her job and enjoyed visiting with the customers. She loved to travel. Another hobby she had in her younger years was crocheting. Her favorite pastime of all was the time she spent with her children and grandchildren.

She was preceded in death by her parents, her brother Harry Enyart, and one son Timothy who died in 1987.

She is survived by her husband Kenneth; her children Nancy McDaniel (Ed) of Wellsville, Ron Zahner of Shawnee, Michael Zahner of Paola, Pat Zahner (Karen) of San Clemente, CA, and Janice Ryan (Rich) of La Vista, NE; 13 grandchildren; 19 great grandchildren; many other relatives and friends.
