Virginia Lee Woods, age 89, of Kansas City, Missouri passed away January 8, 2015 at Research Medical Center.

She was born March 16, 1925 in Downs, Kansas to Lee E. and Jessie S. Riggs Bell. She grew up in the Downs, Kansas area and graduated from Stilwell High School in 1943. She was united in marriage to John Earl Hennigh on July 14, 1946. After John passed in 1969, later she was married to Merrill F. Woods who passed away in 1982. She lived most of her adult life in Kansas City, Missouri and was employed with Western Electric as a machine setter and retired after 20 years of service.

Virginia was very active in church activities, meals on wheels, Ruskin Heights Home Association and the American Legion Auxiliary.

She was preceded in death by her parents, husbands, and her brother Junior Logan Bell.

She is survived by son William “Bill” Hennigh, brothers Jerold Bell and Robert Bell, and sisters Doris Mallicoat and Margie Phillips. Memorials to the Terrace Lake United Methodist Church.
