Frances "Jane" Oldham, age 87, passed away November 28, 2016, at Rolling Hills Nursing Home in Topeka, Kansas, her home for the last 5 years.

Jane was born in Gardena, California, on June 16, 1929, to L.F. Oxley and Verna (Love) Oxley. She had 3 younger siblings and 2 older half-sisters. The family moved to Kansas when she was a young girl.

She was united in marriage to Wendal D. Oldham, on July 16, 1963. They resided on the Oldham family farm in the Richmond Township of Miami County, until Wendal’s death in November 1994.

Jane was a beautician for over 50 years. She enjoyed spending time in her vegetable and flower gardens.

Her most precious gifts were her family. She loved to have her children and grandchildren together for birthdays and holidays.

She was preceded in death by her parents, her husband, 2 sisters, 1 brother, a step-son and 2 step-grandchildren.

Jane is survived by daughters, Karen Maze (Alder), Verna Wright (Stan), Candice Oldham Medlin (Chuck); sons, Terry McDaniel (Deena), Clifford McDaniel (Pat); step-daughter, Sherry Stone; sister, Laura Kent; brother, Ed Oxley; 17 grandchildren, 34 great grandchildren, 3 great-great grandchildren and many loving nieces and nephews.

Memorial contributions may be made to Grace Hospice or Rolling Hills Nursing Home in care of Penwell-Gabel.
