Larry Windler, 48, of Paola, Kansas passed away in his home Tuesday night, March 11, 2014. Larry was born December 29, 1965 in Paola, Kansas. He was preceded in death by his parents Warren Windler and Delores J. Burgoon Windler. Larry married Joyce Moore August 19, 1996 but had been together since 1987.

Larry was a loving husband, father, brother, uncle and friend. He was a self-employed flooring installer for Flooring America for many years. He loved to spend time with his family and play video games with his wife on his PlayStation 3. He adored his grandchildren. Larry would go out of his way to help anyone in need. He was like a father and mentor not only to his children’s friends but to his many nieces and nephews as well. No one man was more loved than our Larry and no one will be missed more. Larry loved building things in his spare time.

Survivors include his wife Joyce Windler of Paola, KS; five children Kristina Fasick of Branson, MO, Nathan Vickers, Danny Vickers, Alicia Windler and Stephen Windler all of Paola, KS; five grandchildren; one brother William Windler of Osawatomie, KS; two sisters Betty Windler Reynolds of Edmund, OK and Cindy Windler Trout of Paola, KS; maternal grandmother Florence Burgoon of Beagle, KS and nieces, nephews, aunts and uncles and an army of friends.

Larry Windler is to be cremated at Penwell-Gable Funeral Home. There will be no services as per his request.

The family will have a small celebration of Larry’s life on Sunday, March 30, 2014 from 2 – 5 p.m. at the home of William Windler, 316 E. Pacific, Osawatomie KS.
