Brenda Sue Rose, age 57, of Paola passed away September 6, 2015 at Miami County Medical Center.

Brenda was the oldest of three children born to Chester and Susie Stuteville. She was born in Olathe, KS on September 13, 1957. She graduated from Louisburg High School with the class of 1975.

Brenda was married to Damon Rose on March 3, 1984 in Paola, KS. They have made their home in Paola for the past eight years. Together they raised two sons, Jason and Joshua Rose.

Brenda was diagnosed with cancer on September 6, 2006. For 9 years Brenda fought this terrible disease with strength, grace and dignity that few could have achieved.

Brenda enjoyed many things, such as horses, dogs, photography, gardening, camping but most of all spending time with her family and friends. Her other love was the teaching and connecting with youth through children’s ministry.

Brenda is survived by her husband Damon Rose of Paola, KS, two sons Jason Rose (Tiffany) of La Cygne, KS; Joshua Rose (Candice) of Stilwell, KS; Parents Chester and Susie Stuteville of Bucyrus, KS; siblings David Stuteville (Robyn) of Paola, KS; Karl Stuteville of Louisburg, KS; nieces and nephews; David, Karlie, Taylor, Ashley and Carter Stuteville; grandchildren; Caylor Birchard; Cody, Chloe, Fiona and Finnegan Rose; and many other friends and family.
