To the family and friends of Stephanie Knecht, please accept my belated condolence. As a Minister, I wanted to share a message of hope found in the Bible at Acts 24:15, where we find God’s promise "there will be a resurrection". This will happen when God's Kingdom rules this earth as it does in heaven, Matthew 6:10. As you reminisce about the good times you had with Stephanie, continue to pray for God's Kingdom to Come where you will then be able to hug Stephanie forever. I remember Stephanie as a very quiet but determined individual. She always worked really hard at everything she did and was determined to achieve her goals no matter what. Life will never be the same but as time passes your thoughts and memories will remain. May God bless you and keep you during this difficult time.

She was quick to joke and quick to laugh. As all of you on this registry do, I miss her tremendously. It hurts to speak of her in a past tense. Rest in Peace and Bless the remaining family.

Joe and all of Stephanie's family,
My sincere condolences go out to all of you. Stephanie was a very Special person as you all know, and she will be missed by so many. I am so sorry for your loss.
I first met Stephanie when she was an elementary student and I was a Counselor and coach at Paola high school. I will never forget that wonderful smile of hers. And as she went through high school that smile helped her become one of the most popular students at PHS.
Our thoughts and prayers are with all of you as you go through this trying time. I know that your family is very close and very strong in your faith and both of those will be of great help to you in the coming weeks.

From the bottom of my heart, I am so deeply sorry for your loss. Steff was beautiful inside and out and I am so greatful to have had her in my life as well as your family. Her laugh and smile was contagious. She had such a warm loving heart.
I have several fond memories of Steff, from talking me through being a wrestling mom, sharing laughs at baseball games and more.

Steff was an amazing person. We were neighborhood friends growing up on Main Street. She is a big part of some of my best childhood memories. The sleepovers in her parents camper, watching scary movies and running the neighborhood. Even as a kid she always thought of others, was kind, loving and a great friend. My thoughts and prayers are with Steff's whole family at this time.
~ Melissa Browning - September 14, 2015
Stephanie,
You were always so kind and thoughtful. I have never met anyone so modest and so sincere. Even though we only saw each other a few times a year, you always took the time to catch up and see what was going on in my life. A few months ago I mentioned to you how you reminded me of the singer Rachel Platten who sings, "Fight Song". It was her smile in her music video and her lyrics that made me think of you instantly the first time I watched it. Of course, being the modest person you are you did not agree with me but said you did say you loved the song too. I will forever think of you when I hear that song.
Rest in Peace

All I can say is that Steph was the best of best of a friend that I had ever had. She was so loving, kind, authentic, compassionate, sincere, honorable, inspiring and she was one of the greatest women I have ever met. The memories we made together will last me a lifetime.
I was just telling someone about the time we went golfing and Steph and I went to the restroom at the Country Club and I had forgotten about the golf ball that I had put in my back pocket. It fell in the toilet when I was using it and I started freaking out saying "Steph, what do I do?" She said "Your going to have to stick your hand down there and get it!" After I totally grossed myself out and her out, the ball came out and so did our laughs for months.
She also never sent a text or email without saying I love you. That was Steph.
What a special girl. I will love and miss her forever.
~ Christy Dreiling - September 12, 2015
Steff-was a light in anyone's day! Her smile brightened a room. I can honestly say, I never heard her speak badly of anyone & always had a kind word! (I do remember her mumbling & groaning once or twice during BOOTYCAMP class--& I laughed! Bcuz I told her that was the first time-i'd heard her complain) a sweet soul & beauty inside & out! Always remembered & always loved. ??
Prayers & much love to her family. ~Yara
~ Yara Morgan - September 12, 2015
So quiet. I remember her from all the softball games.
~ Bill White - September 12, 2015
My family and i were lucky enough to watch the three Anthony girls grow up when we lived across the street on Main St. My first rememberance of Steff was her most gorgeous hair! She was an angel here on earth and seemed like she loved being a mother more than anything else she ever did! Her love was amazing and she will live on in our hearts forever. My prayers for Don, Debi, Buffy, Becky and her whole family.
~ Libby Wright - September 12, 2015
