Richard Allen Olson, age 57, of Osawatomie, Kansas passed away October 15, 2014 at St. Luke’s South.

Richard was born on February 9, 1957 to Olon H. and JoAnn Harlow Olson in Kansas City, Kansas. He graduated from Gardner High School in 1975. He was employed with USD 416 Louisburg School District. He was a member of the NRA. Richard enjoyed rides on his motorcycle and spending time and a beer with friends. He was known for his humor, kind heart, and stubbornness. He collected eagle statues and American flags, and enjoyed hunting, fishing, and helping his brother & uncle work on the farm.

Richard was preceded in death by a nephew Jason M. Furnish. He is survived by his daughter Kara Henkenseifken and two grandsons; mother JoAnn Olson; father Olon (Shirley) Olson; brother Olon J. (Brenda) Olson; sisters Juanita Furnish, Janet Olson, and Dee Olson; niece Jessie Furnish; nephews Joshua (Ashlei) Furnish & daughter Hayleigh, Joseph (Kristen) Furnish & children Rebecca and Jack.

The family would like to express a heartfelt gratitude to friends and the community for your condolences and support.
