William D. (Bill) Frye, 72, passed away at his home in Osawatomie, Kansas on November 20, 2014.

Bill was born June 26, 1942 in Paola, Kansas, the youngest of four children born to Robert E. and Clara A. (Zebert) Frye. He attended First Lutheran grade school and graduated from Paola High School in 1960.
Bill was a jack of all trades, meticulous and creative in his work and life. In his later years and failing health, he took pride in making and sharing his wood crafts, model cars, and gardening.

He was preceded in death by his parents, sister Shirley Taylor, brother Robert G. Frye, brother-in-law John Courtney, Jr., and sister-in-law Twila Frye.

Survivors include his sister Barbara Courtney of Paola, sons William J. and Tyson J. Frye of Newalla, OK, brother-in-law Robert Taylor of Louisburg, KS, nephews, nieces, cousins and a multitude of friends whose lives he touched with acts of kindness and caring.

Suggested memorials to the Bill Frye Memorial Fund (to be designated by the family), or Special Olympics.
