Paul Duane Ostrander, age 73, passed away January 8, 2015 at Olathe Hospice House.

Paul, the youngest of nine children, was born on October 2, 1941 to Charles Ostrander and Caroline McDaniel in Austin, Minnesota.

Paul served in the U.S. Army for two years under the First Calvary and was deployed to Korea 1961 to 1963. He worked for the Kansas Department of Transportation for 23 years until his retirement due to disability in 1991. He was preceded in death by his parents, brothers Tommy, Wiley, Charles, Larry, sisters, Lois, Shirley, and Betty.

Paul loved hunting, fishing and looking for morel mushrooms. Paul loved sharing stories of his life adventures with whomever would listen. He was a loving grandfather and played a major role in caring for Alex and Kyle in their younger years.

He is survived by his wife Mary of the home; sister Margie Monthey; daughters Paula and husband Charles, Connie and husband Dean, Cathy, Mary and significant other Doug; sons Richard and Russell; 16 grandchildren; 18 great grandchildren with #19 to be born in February.
