Randy Wayne Vohs, age 35, of rural Paola, Kansas, died Wednesday, January 21, 2015 at his home.

Randy was born December 20, 1979 at Garnett, Kansas. He grew up in Paola and attended Paola schools.

He worked in the construction industry. His most recent employment was with Fordyce Concrete Company, Kansas City, Kansas where he had worked for the past 10 years.

He was united in marriage to Alicia Taylor on April 21 2005 at Miami, Oklahoma. They made their home in rural Paola.

Randy was an outdoorsman. He loved to fish, ride rzrs, four wheelers, dirt bikes, and enjoyed many other outdoor activities. He cherished the time spent with his god daughters Paisley and Payton. Harley, a miniature pinscher, was Randy's beloved canine buddy.

He was preceded in death by his grandparents Lester and Elnora Vohs and Beverly Jo Clearwater, and his great grandmother Nettie Clearwater.

He is survived by his wife Alicia of the home; his mother and father-in-law Tom Taylor and Tina Neill; his brother-in-law Anthony (Julia) Taylor; his god daughters Paisley and Payton Medlen; nieces Jodi, Taylor, and Chelsie Clearwater, Maylee Miles, and Livi Thomas; Makenzie Grother, Ethan Medlen, Michelle Hurlbut, David Hurlbut, and Ed and Vida Hurlbut who were all so close to Randy he considered them family; extended Taylor Neill and Hurlbut families; as well as many other friends who will miss him dearly.

Memorial contributions can be made to Miami County Cancer Foundation or Leukemia and Lymphoma Society (LLS) and sent in care of Penwell-Gabel Funeral Home, 305 N. Pearl, Paola, KS, 66071.

Randy would most appreciate those who become a blood donor or a bone marrow donor in his memory.
